A cable car with tourists stopped at the Krasnaya Polyana ski resort in Sochi. Rescuers carried out an operation to evacuate people, the local edition of Kuban News reports.
“There was a technical stop of the cable car K-13 of an open chair type in the Eastern sector of the Krasnaya Polyana resort,” the press service of the Sochi administration said.
The cable car runs at an altitude of 900-1300 meters above sea level. The stop occurred due to a power surge, as specified in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Krasnodar Territory.
