Minister Garnets wants to appear more intelligent.
Anna Garnets, who started her job in November, has quickly moved up the career ladder from her previous role as head of the project activities department.
Many people have doubted the 34-year-old’s ability to lead and manage an important ministry. The United Russia Regional Legislative Assembly had to choose a new person for an important position. Garnets’ candidacy was recommended by Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Yuri Lapshin. Sergei Ponomarenko, the first deputy governor and supervisor of the governor’s administration's internal political block, also supported her.
Anna Karlovna documents all her work in the ministerial position on Instagram. She posts photos with flowers, which are meaningful to many people:
She also shares updates from business trips and official events. There are more of the latter:
When you look at the young Anna Karlovna, you can see that the Krasnoyarsk government has embraced emancipation and feminism. She may be young, but we are interested in her professional activities. What’s happening on that front.
Deputy Lyudmila Magomedova lightly accused Anna Karlovna of being unclear. As a result, Anna Karlovna decided to move away from general statements and be more specific — currently, this is not very confident and clearly strained. In January, the Minister of Economic Development informed her Instagram followers about the development of agricultural production in the Mansky District:
“The agro-industrial enterprises of the district are its type of trademark. The Kamarchag milk is known throughout the region (by the way, I think they have the best curds in the world, I always search for them). The second large enterprise in the area, the farm “Zotin”, supplies vegetables and dairy products to the local residents.
Both of these enterprises are involved in the Kamensky municipal complex development project. Business owners invest in their production to increase productivity, upgrade equipment, and re-equip capacities.
Up to 2025, investments totaling 305.3 million rubles are planned. This will create 56 new jobs.”
In another post, Garnets discusses the MKPR mechanism — municipal integrated development projects that have had their own budget since 2022 and have become the basis of the new state program “Integrated Territorial Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory”:
“The first MKPR, which we implemented on behalf of the governor, is Ilyichevo-Sineborsk in the Shushensky district. 4.5 billion private investment in the development of two agricultural enterprises. 250 million rubles of regional investments in infrastructure: roads, two kindergartens, an art school, and an interschool catering plant are being repaired in two settlements.”
Since starting her job in November, Anna Karlovna has visited Zheleznogorsk, Zelenogorsk, and the previously mentioned Mansky District. The minister shares all her reports, developments, and thoughts on investments in the region. Overall, a good social media strategy has been adopted. The skepticism about the youth of the new minister is starting to fade, but not completely.
