The Verkhovna Rada was unable to dismiss the head of the State Property Fund Dmitry Sennichenko from his post at a meeting on January 27. This is known from the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada. The decision was supported by 223 votes – 3 less than needed to make a decision. As Serhiy Vlasenko, the people’s deputy from Batkivshchyna, announced, the buttons for voting did not work for three colleagues in the faction. Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk announced a break in the meeting to check the serviceability of the consoles. As EP previously reported, Sennichenko’s resignation from the post of head of the fund was due to pressure from the authorities. From the “Servant of the People” the draft resolution received 175 votes “for” – out of formally 242 deputies of the faction. At the same time, on January 27, 23 people’s deputies fell ill with COVID-19 in the faction at once. In addition, they planned to vote if there was a candidate who would replace Sennichenko in office. At the same time, a possible successor is still officially unknown.
