Members of the hacker group The Infraud Organization made a deal with the investigation and testified against the alleged head of the group Andrey Novak, writes TASS.
“Some of the defendants gave confessions during the interrogation, including the alleged founder of the hacker group Andrey Novak, who was arrested last week. They are actively cooperating with the investigation,” the source said.
Over the weekend, the FSB detained four members of the group. Novak was arrested, his accomplices – Kirill Samokutyaev, Konstantin Bergman and Mark Bergman – were placed under house arrest. They are accused of illegal access to computer information (Article 272 of the Criminal Code) and circulation of means of payment (Article 187 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, they stole credit card information.
The damage from the actions of The Infraud Organization is estimated by the US authorities at 530 million dollars. In the United States, Novak is wanted by the FBI on charges of cyber fraud.
