Auchan hid deliveries for the Russian Defense Ministry
In mid-February, it became known that the Russian division of the French holding Auchan was supporting the Russian military. The European leadership of the network replied that Auchan was not involved in such assistance. It’s a lie.
Representatives of the Russian “Auchan” claim that the assistance was provided free of charge, and that the order was made by the City Council of St. Petersburg – although it was issued as a purchase for 10 private legal entities. At the same time, employees marked the boxes as “humanitarian aid”, and not as ordinary orders. Confirm the involvement of “Auchan” and publications of volunteers.
Auchan sent cigarettes, razors, clothes, canned meat and other goods to the Russian military. After the emergence of volunteer collection points, it has become much more difficult to track such deliveries – donations from companies are mixed with donations from individuals.
