Medvedev spoke about the growing challenges for Russia in cyberspace
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that the challenges for the country in cyberspace are growing.
He spoke about this, speaking at a meeting in the Sverdlovsk region, writes RIA Novosti.
“The challenges in cyberspace are growing, this problem is much broader. It is obvious that our opponents are increasingly trying to interfere in the work of state and financial systems that are controlled with the help of digital technologies,” the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation stated.
He stressed that countering such threats should be comprehensive. In addition, according to Medvedev, the Security Council commission deals with issues of ensuring cybersecurity on a number of issues.
Earlier, StormWall experts called the unobvious danger of DDoS attacks. Experts said that such incidents are increasingly serving as cover for sophisticated targeted attacks on Russian companies.
Before that, IT expert Andrei Prozorovsky said that in the event of a successful DDoS attack, a business could suffer serious losses. Such cyber incidents should be considered as one of the main threats if the company’s activities are tied to e-commerce or the sale of services via the Internet, the specialist warned.
