The Federation Council suspected Moldova of switching to supporting the aggression of the West
The head of the international committee of the Federation Council, Grigory Karasin, suspected Moldova of switching to supporting the aggressive position of the West on the situation in Ukraine.
He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
In particular, the senator drew attention to the adoption by the Moldovan parliament of the “Declaration on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.” “This is another attack on us, in essence, reckless support for the Western aggressive position,” he stated.
At the same time, Karasin said that in this situation there is also an “internal Moldovan agenda.” “Turn on the heat in the hysteria that has already been launched in Moldova at the suggestion of Kiev with obvious anti-Russian overtones,” he explained, calling it a “dangerous symptom” of instability in Moldova’s domestic and foreign policy. “We will be watching closely,” the senator concluded.
Earlier, the Moldovan speaker of parliament, Igor Grosu, said that the ruling Action and Solidarity party single-handedly adopted an anti-Russian declaration. According to the document, Chisinau refuses to accept any of Moscow’s arguments regarding the conflict in Ukraine and demands that Russia withdraw its troops. In addition, Moldova supports the initiative of other Western states to create a “special tribunal in the case of aggression against Ukraine.”
