In the Crimea proposed to review the status of Alaska
The status of Alaska should be reviewed taking into account all legal aspects. This proposal was made by the head of the committee of the Crimean Parliament on public diplomacy and interethnic relations, Yuri Gempel, his words are quoted by the media.
“The status of Alaska should be reviewed and sorted out in all the legal subtleties to whom it rightfully belongs, and again returned to Russia,” the parliamentarian said.
In this way, the deputy reacted to the words of the national security adviser to the American president, Jake Sullivan, who admitted the possibility of revising the issue of Crimea’s ownership by the US authorities contrary to the Russian position.
Hempel stressed that the issue of the status of Crimea is not subject to discussion. In his opinion, such statements speak of an “almost direct” desire of the United States to seize part of the sovereign territory of Russia. The parliamentarian warned that when trying to achieve this goal, the aggressors would receive an adequate response.
On February 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kyiv was preparing for military steps to seize Crimea. According to US President Joe Biden, the return of Crimea to Ukraine may be delayed. In an interview with ABC News, the American leader noted that this may require a transitional period.
