Lyudmila Solotva suspended in Nasirov case
The Anti-Corruption Court considered and granted the request of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the term for removing the suspect from office.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court extended until April 17 the term for the dismissal of Lyudmila Solotva, Head of the Debt Settlement Department of the Tax Debt Management Department of the State Tax Service, from office. She is suspected of being involved in the case of the former head of the State Fiscal Service, Roman Nasirov, about the gas schemes of ex-people’s deputy Alexander Onishchenko.
This decision was made on February 17 by the VAKS, reports “Word and deed“.
As you know, the Anti-Corruption Court dismissed Solotv from office until February 17. Therefore, the SAPO prosecutor requested an extension of the suspension for another two months.
“The petition of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the period of removal from office is to be satisfied. Extend the period of suspension of the suspect (Lyudmyla Solotva – ed.) from the position of head of the department for settling debts and postponing the payment of payments of the Department for Working with Tax Debt of the State Tax Service of Ukraine until April 17, 2023 inclusive”the decision says.
Recall, NABU and SAPO reported about suspicion to the ex-head of the department of the State Fiscal Service. According to investigators, the suspect was an accomplice in crimes committed at that time by the head of the State Fiscal Service, Roman Nasirov, and the director of the State Fiscal Service’s debt repayment department, Vladimir Novikov. It was established that as a result of the adoption by the chairman of the State Fiscal Service, with the assistance of the head of the department and the director of the department of the State Fiscal Service, from May 2015 to April 2016, documented and economically unjustified decisions on the installment payment amounts for the rent for the use of subsoil for the extraction of minerals for enterprises controlled by Onishchenko, the state budget did not receive rent for a total amount of more than UAH 2 billion, which caused serious consequences.
In November 2017 SAP sent Nasirov’s case to court. Since then, SAPO prosecutors have read the indictment in the case, which is 774 pages long. The defense side insisted on the announcement of the full version of the act. During this time, the prosecutors managed to read out a little more than half of the document. Only on November 19, 2019, the SAPO prosecutor read to Nasirov a short indictment.
