Medvedev spoke about the division of Ukraine according to the scenario of Korea

The Korean scenario for the division of Ukraine is nothing more than a wishlist for Kyiv.

This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev in his Telegram channel.

The politician noted that the implementation of the Korean scenario is impossible already for the reason that the republics of Donbass exist not as independent states, but as subjects of Russia.

Medvedev also noted that, in his opinion, talking about the possibility of dividing Ukraine according to the Korean scenario suggests that the Ukrainian elites are throwing in the thesis that it is impossible for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to win.

“In Kyiv, they embarrassingly threw out the thesis that there can be no victory. At best, it’s divided into parts. But in fact, this is the first step towards recognizing the realities that have developed on earth, ”the politician summed up.

The Korean War, which lasted from 1950 to 1953, ended with the creation of a demilitarized zone and the division of Korea into North (DPRK) and South (Republic of Korea). The border between the two states was unofficially called the 38th parallel.

Earlier, a former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Oleksiy Arestovich, said that the country could repeat the “two-Korea scenario” after the end of the conflict. He predicted that the conflict in Ukraine might not end the way its citizens expect.
