The Rada named the name of the successor to the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine

The head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, may replace Alexei Reznikov as the country’s defense minister.

This was stated by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the party “Voice” Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

“The Ministry of Defense can change the head. So far, they say that Kirill Budanov from the GUR will become it, ”Yaroslav Zheleznyak wrote in his telegram channel. He also noted that Reznikov could go to work in the Ministry of Strategic Industries.

Earlier, the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Ilya Kiva, said that Alexei Reznikov had written a letter of resignation. At the same time, there is no information on a possible resignation on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Before that, it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky began purges in the government.
