All formal procedures for imposing sanctions on 1xBet, which were demanded by Ukrainian public activists and ordinary citizens who collected 25,000 signatures for a corresponding petition on the President’s website, have been completed.

Sanctions are expected for 5 years against the Ukrainian LLC Your Betting Company, as well as its director and founder, and for 10 years against 1xBet itself and its Russian founders.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka advocated for the imposition of sanctions on the Russian bookmaker, who noted that the Ministry of Economy supports the need to apply sanctions against persons whose actions pose a threat to national interests, security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
1xBet Sanctions: Will Zelensky Take a Risk?
In the spring of 2022, the Russian bookmaker 1xBet received two licenses to operate in Ukraine, which caused a public outcry. After a series of investigations, including that 1xBet is trying to enter the Ukrainian market to collect personal data of Ukrainian citizens for Russian intelligence agencies, CRAIL canceled the granted licenses in September 2022.
The representative of 1xBet in Ukraine, Your Betting Company LLC, is trying to appeal this decision in court and regain the right to work in Ukraine.
