As it became known to the press, regional officials are advised not to spend holidays in resorts outside the country.

The publication emphasizes that local authorities cannot officially prohibit officials from traveling outside the country, however, in many regions of the Russian Federation there is a “strong recommendation” on this matter.
For example, recently the head of the Vologda Oblast, Oleg Kuvshinnikov, “strongly recommended” local deputies and officials “to refrain from traveling to foreign countries.” He believes that in such a difficult time for the Russian Federation, spending holidays in luxury resorts and deliberately, publicly presenting provocative pictures on social networks is unacceptable for officials.
Recall that in the summer the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia offered consider the issue of reducing vacations for deputies and officials.
And in December last year, the State Duma of Russia passed on third reading a law that obliges regional officials to report cases of incitement to corruption offenses within five days.
