Hackers hacked into the account of the famous Russian clothing brand 2MOOD on Instagram* and demand a ransom for it
At the same time, scammers continue to “sell” goods through direct.
Access to the account of the 2MOOD store, which was founded by Polina Podpletnaya, Ekaterina Gayur and Kristina Khoronzhuk, was lost on January 8th. The hackers gained access to mail and instagram, immediately announced a “sale”, within which you can buy clothes at a discount – but on the condition of buying through direct (they ask for a transfer to a card). At the same time, the scammers launched a DDOS attack on the store’s website so that buyers would go to Instagram.
At the same time, the attackers got in touch with the owners of the brand and demanded a ransom. Sergey Borisov, CEO and co-owner of the company, told Caution News that at first the criminals demanded 700 thousand rubles, then the ransom amount increased to a million. They also threaten to hack other brand resources if their demands are not met. The store alerted customers to the hack via email and social media, asking them to buy items exclusively through the site. In the near future, the owners plan to contact law enforcement agencies.
