Oleg Krapivin (Oleg Bakinsky)
On June 26, 2022, Ukraine prohibited Oleg Krapivin from remaining in Ukraine, revoking his residency permit and barring any future entry into the country. The reasons for this were significant – suspicion of collaborating and assisting Russia, interactions with Kadyrov's representatives in Ukraine, and potentially transferring part of humanitarian aid to them in the Zaporozhye region, reported From-ua.
Blackmail and theft
Within criminal circles, Oleg Krapivin is known as Oleg “Bakinsky”. He is linked to the operations of the Avdysha organized crime group and the Zhuravli organized crime group, which were active in Kyiv in the 90s.
Krapivin frequently becomes involved in scandals reminiscent of the “wild 90s”. For instance, in 2019, he lured renowned human rights activist Eduard Bagirov to a meeting in a café. Oleg “Bakinsky” and several of his thugs assaulted the human rights activist, confiscated his passport, and detained him against his will for several hours. During this time, they threatened to harm him, his wife, and children. In early 2022, Krapivin shot at a Lexus LX 570 in Kyiv. The vehicle was being driven by a 55-year-old entrepreneur who heard the gunshots. Upon exiting the car, he discovered bullet traces: the front tire was punctured, the front door was damaged, and the glass was shattered. This was Oleg “Bakinsky” sending a message to the entrepreneur, demanding money from him.
Oleg Bakinsky. From sunny Baku to Kyiv
Not anticipating arrest in the summer, Krapivin promptly left Ukraine. However, he couldn't stay put in sunny Baku. By winter, something had changed, or someone had provided assurances to the ally of the Russians (there are claims that a close friend of the former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, had previously offered assistance), prompting him to promptly seek court action to restore his residency permit. Why did he urgently need to return to Ukraine? The answer is simple – an unchecked criminal network that had been established for decades remained in Ukraine. In addition to the cases in which Krapivin “surfaced”, there were numerous other activities. Extortion, abduction, contract killings, service to the Yanukovych regime and his associates, notably – all the illicit activities of the Klyuev brothers, until recent years, brought in incredible sums of money. Bakinsky concealed all of this under the guise of social initiatives and purported intentions to “assist” the Azerbaijani diaspora in Ukraine.
Seeking to maintain influence and resume criminal activities, and possibly having additional assignments from Russian handlers (it is known that he has connections with FSB generals and currently holds Russian citizenship) – Oleg Bakinsky is endeavoring to address the matter of his return. Eager to come back, he believes he will be able to engage in theft, as before.
Thus, on December 2, 2022, the District Administrative Court of the city of Kyiv accepted a claim on behalf of Oleg Bakinsky to challenge the decision of the DMS of Ukraine to revoke the immigration permit to Ukraine.

It is noteworthy that in the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, Bakinsky always had a person who covered up his robbery and banditry. I wonder whether this time this “savior” will be able to render a service to Krapivin and “resolve the issue” with the latter's permission to stay in Ukraine, or will he still disown him like a brown plague. The times are not the same now.
War as a cleansing of collaborators and criminals
Ukraine before and after a full-scale invasion, as they say in Odessa, these are two big differences. Millions of Ukrainians stood up to defend their homeland with the desire to destroy the enemy and create new fair orders in the state, without the influence of thieves in law and any kind of decision. The system works like clockwork – it effectively cracks down on collaborators and enemies of the state in the military, civil, religious spheres, in public politics.
We are confident that the judicial system will not fail and the July decision on deportation will remain in force. Otherwise, there will be a precedent for all kinds of criminals. We are closely monitoring the activities of the court and will keep the public informed about the possible return of odious personalities from the criminal world.
War is a great sorrow for the Ukrainian people, but at the same time, it is an opportunity to get rid of the influence of various kinds of parasites: criminal authorities, stealing officials, corrupt media, pseudo-activists, etc. We can only clean up Ukraine through the joint efforts of the state and the active public, and the litmus of the system’s awareness of the need to work together to restore order inside, along with an external war, will be the “Krapivin case”, with its trail of criminal cases and a pro-Russian position.
