SBU found and seized property of Tabachnyk
The SBU says that in order to protect his fortune from potential confiscation by the state, the individual transferred it to his relatives in advance.
The department noted that the SBU exposed this scheme and obtained court permission to seize the assets of the ex-regional.
Tabachnik's arrested assets include real estate, land, and foreign currency.
The SBU managed to seize:
- $147,000 from a bank account;
- a residential building covering more than 600 square meters;
- a floor of an apartment in the historical part of Kyiv measuring 126 square meters.
- five land plots in an upscale cottage town near the capital spanning approximately 1 hectare.
The ex-regional is reportedly evading justice in Crimea, according to the SBU.

The Prosecutor General's Office clarified that the arrest was placed on the funds of a Ukrainian citizen who served as the Minister of Education and Science from 2010 to 2014, and that his mother's property was also seized.
According to a message, the Vinnitsa city court decided to arrest seven land plots in the village of Kozin, Kyiv region, as well as $144,000.
The former statesman is said to have organized and coordinated activities in the healthcare, education, and referendum preparations in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions as part of the Russian occupation administrations.
The investigation established connections between the suspect and representatives of Russian government authorities, including the Russian Federal Security Service.
The Security Service of Ukraine stated that the total value of Tabachnyk's seized assets exceeds $2 million, which primarily consists of real estate, land, and foreign currency.
The SBU noted that Tabachnik transferred his earnings to his relatives in advance to evade seizure by the state.
