Polad Omarov and Namik Salifov
On Wednesday, January 4, 2023, European law enforcement officers arrested a 38-year-old citizen in Prague Republic of Azerbaijan, criminal authority Polad (Folad) Omarov, nicknamed “Polad”, who is considered the head of the military wing and the right hand of the 46-year-old thief in law. («Namik»/»Namik Baku»). This is reported by an informed source Detective-Info.
According to him, “Polad” in the company of a trusted person named “Ziko” managed to “pack” in the capital of the Czech Republic as a result of a special operation, which began after the arrival in Europe from the territory of Ukraine of one of the close relatives of the crime boss.
At the time of the preparation of this publication, the issue of applying extradition arrests with respect to Omarov and his henchman with the subsequent issuance of law enforcement agencies of states that have established appropriate notifications regarding the deserving people is being resolved. It is known that among the countries accusing Polada of being involved in high-profile murders, kidnappings and organizing criminal syndicates are the United States (where he faces 32 years in prison), the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
In particular, at the suggestion of domestic security forces, the worthy was put on the international wanted list for organizing the commission of a daring contract killing in December 2021 of crime boss Nazir Aliyev, the details of which were previously reported on the pages of Detective-Info.

It has been established that the leader of the military wing of the Namik clan, one of the likely contenders for initiation into the elite of the underworld, Omarov and his bodyguard Ziko arrived in the Czech Republic using citizens’ passports Ukraine to travel abroad.
At the same time, according to the official portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, no less than March 2018, “Polad” was additionally put on the national wanted list of Ukraine in the case of kidnapping (part 3 of article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It is believed that that the corresponding suspicion was issued to Polad Novruz-ogly in the process of investigating a criminal case on kidnapping, member of the board of the United Diaspora of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine Hikmet Abdullayev.

According to one of the versions, it was Omarov who allegedly fulfilled the organizational vision during the commission of another kidnapping from the “Baku clan” of the Salifovs (which, as previously reported on the pages of Detective-Info, could cause a number of accompanying criminal reactions, such as the murder of a confidant of thieves in the law “Guli “and “Namik” – the authority of Elbrus Askerov). Be that as it may, since March 2018, Polad has been put on the national wanted list for kidnapping (although there is information on the network about the termination of the implementation of relevant measures).
Further, the name of the Azerbaijani crime boss appeared in the media in the context of a large-scale revenge allegedly organized “Namik” and his entourage for the murder of his brother – thief in law Nadir Salifov, committed in August 2020 in Antalya, Turkey.
