New Energy Kolomoisky: 657 million arrested
Supreme Anti-Corruption Court December 1 confirmed the decision to arrest UAH 657 million on the accounts of New Energy Ukraine LLC at the request of NABU for the purpose of further special confiscation. The League writes about this with a link to the court register, Ukrrudprom reports.
It is noted that the arrest was imposed as part of a criminal case on the sale of electricity in February-April 2022 in the interests of United Energy LLC, which is associated with Igor Kolomoisky.
The investigation states that Ukrenergo officials sold electricity to the company, despite the fact that it was in a “default” state, which led to the formation of bad debts.
United Energy subsequently resold the electricity, and withdrew the money.
Part of the amount ended up on the accounts of New Energy Ukraine LLC, which, according to the investigation, was under the control of United Energy officials for a long time, the newspaper writes.

“The investigation believes that New Energy Ukraine understood that the money received from United Energy was received as a result of a criminal offense, deliberately took part in their legalization and began to use it in economic activities in order to generate income.”
At the same time, New Energy Ukraine, in particular, states that United Energy's debt to Ukrenergo has nothing to do with New Energy Ukraine as a counterparty.
Also, the position of the company states that the debt of United Energy to Ukrenergo in the amount of UAH 1.7 billion is not a proven fact and has not been confirmed by the court.
“The judges who considered the NABU petition, these arguments didn't convince. The money was arrested on November 17, and on December 1 this decision was confirmed by the appeals chamber, ”the publication concludes.
Earlier, journalists from the Schemes program discovered that firms associated with Igor Kolomoisky made billions selling coal and gas to the state-owned company Centrenergo, selling raw materials at prices sometimes higher than market prices.
The investigation said that all three companies – Record System and Sintez Oil, which sold coal to Centrenergo, and United Energy (sold gas to Centrenergo) – have signs of being connected with Kolomoisky, who denied involvement in the activities of these private companies
“I have nothing to do with the activities of companies in which I am a shareholder. I do not make managerial decisions. I seem to be a shareholder in Sintez Oil, but I’m not sure about that,” he said then.
Also, Kolomoisky denied his involvement in Record Systems and United Energy and said that he was not aware of coal supplies by his companies to Centrenergo.
