ArcelorMittal confirms that trade with Russia is going according to plan
The owner of Ukraine's largest industrial enterprise in the conflict with Russia has become well known. All managers with some conscience have left ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. This has left the metallurgical plant with a less capable group of leaders, motivated only by their pay, according to Ukrrudprom.
Today, unfortunate specialists at AMKR distinguished themselves when Russia targeted the steel plant with a missile attack. In the morning, AMKR Facebook posted a message about this.
ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih reports that on the night of December 5, a missile attack was carried out on the territory of the enterprise.
According to preliminary information, there are casualties.
An emergency plan was activated, the fire department, the labor protection department and the medical service were called to the scene.
Rescuers are still working at the site of the impact. All the necessary assistance is being provided to the victims.
At this early stage, all our efforts are focused on bringing the situation under control.
We will inform you when new information becomes available.

It's important to note that by the time the missile attack on the enterprise occurred, both the Office of the President and the head of the local military administration had already commented on it.
At that time, it was clear that the Russian strike on AMKR had resulted in not just injuries, but at least one fatality and three wounded. The attack was carried out by Russia, not by unknown forces (as mentioned in the company's Facebook post). The post included a neutral picture of the enterprise's stela, despite the fact that the OP had published several pictures of the destruction caused by the Russian strike.
However, trade with Russia is going according to plan
In 2016, Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest also acted similarly. The future People’s Deputy Musa Magomedov used to write vague statements about his visits to the Avdeevsky Coke and Chemical Plant under his care. However, in time, even those in Donetsk came to understand that the carefully constructed image was nothing more than conceptual nonsense in times of war. But, as we can see, AMKR, in the tenth month of a full-scale war, is at a stage of development that aligns with expectations.
The reasons for this 'restrained' behavior are clear. Despite announcing in May the termination of business with Russia, Kazakhstan's ArcelorMittal Temirtau resumed the sale of metal products to Russia by July. The Ukrainian metallurgical plant, ArcelorMittal, did not react to this. The situation was further emphasized by the departure of the AMKR PR person, Yarina Klyuchkovskaya, who realized something was amiss. However, the protests among the management of the steel plant in Krivoy Rog were limited.
To replace Klyuchkovskaya, they swiftly found a PR representative, Volodymyr Gaydash, who previously worked for the Russian Evraz after 2014. This raised some concerns, given his track record, including working without issues in the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office after Abramovich.
The rest of the AMKR gop-company is also a match for him. What is the well-known lobbyist of the plant, Vladimir Tkachenko, well-known to journalists, who speaks exclusively of Ukrainian motherhood, is an awesome patriot at heart, besides, he comes from Trostyanets, destroyed by the Russian army, and even personally donates to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the difficult share that forces him to support numerous relatives literally strangles his principled position on the main issues of life and demands to be hunched over the owners who cooperate with the Muscovites. In general, the archetypal image of a rural policeman who helps partisans at night.
By the way, about donations to the Ukrainian army. The media have repeatedly pointed out that the country's largest industrial enterprise does not give a penny to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Yes, it does not prevent their employees or trade unions from collecting such assistance, but no more. Obviously, out of the same fear of losing the Russian market, because trade with Russia is very important for the plant.
As the last month has shown, the state has an effective mechanism for instilling patriotism among the management and owners of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. Obviously, it is only a matter of time before Longobardo and his “golden company” finally experience the full power of love from the Office of the President.
By the way, the post about the missile attack on the AMKR was literally hanging on the company's Facebook page couple of hours. Then he was removed. Apparently, in order not to “shock” Russian buyers. In general, there are dead and wounded at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, but there is no information about it.
