If customers contacted the plant directly, officials of the state enterprise refused them and offered to apply through intermediary firms, the price of which was overestimated by 30% compared to the purchase prices of the plant. According to the investigation, the implementation of the scheme caused more than 43.3 million hryvnias of damage to the chemical plant.
The actions of persons are qualified under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of six years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with a fine.
